Powder Mountain Babysitting

Powder Mountain Babysitting for Eden and Ogden Valley Stays

Powder Mountain rises above the small town of Eden in Ogden Valley, about an hour or more north of Salt Lake City. It is known for a huge amount of skiable terrain, a laid-back feel, and the last stretch to the base is a winding mountain road. Mother Goose Child Care serves every ski resort in Utah, so we can send a sitter to your Eden cabin, Ogden Valley rental, Huntsville home or Ogden hotel while you spend the day exploring the mountain.

Before working with families, our sitters complete an interview, reference checks, a drug test and a BeenVerified background check, and all of them are trained in CPR and first aid. Sitters show up with games and activities in hand, which helps when it is too cold to play outside.

Planning a Powder Mountain trip with kids

  • Ogden Valley is a longer drive from Salt Lake City and Park City than most Utah resorts. Please mention exactly where you are staying when you book, so we can confirm sitter availability for your dates.
  • The road up to the resort is steep and winding, and winter storms can make it slow going. Check conditions before you leave and build in a buffer so you are home before the booking ends.
  • Planning a day at nearby Snowbasin too? Your sitter can come to the same rental, so the kids keep one familiar home base all week.
  • If snow keeps your sitter from reaching Eden, we will do our best to send someone else, though safety comes first and we may cancel in extreme weather.

How it works

  • Request your dates and hours in our booking app, or call 801-404-2269.
  • Include your lodging address in Eden, Huntsville, Ogden or elsewhere in the valley.
  • We choose a sitter who suits your children’s ages, routines and personalities.
  • Your sitter arrives at the door, and you head up the mountain road.

Baby gear for an Ogden Valley rental

Cribs, pack ‘n plays, high chairs and strollers are all available to rent, so there is no need to fly with them. Share your Ogden Valley address when you order and we will confirm delivery, setup and pickup timing for your stay.

“She was so wonderful with him and his face absolutely lit up when he saw her each morning. We would absolutely use Mother Goose again, thank you for such a wonderful vacation!” Sally O., Google review

Powder Mountain Babysitting FAQs

Do you really send sitters to Powder Mountain?

Yes. We serve every Utah ski resort, including Powder Mountain and Snowbasin in the Ogden Valley area. Tell us your location when you book and we will confirm that a sitter is available for your dates.

How much does a babysitter cost?

You pay your sitter $37 an hour for one child, $40 for two, $43 for three or $46 for four, by cash, Venmo or Zelle at the end of the job. We also charge a $25 non-refundable booking fee for each day, collected in advance. Holiday pricing is listed on our Rates and Terms page.

Can we book a sitter for an evening in Ogden?

Yes. Book the evening as its own date and time block. Four hours is the minimum, and any time after that is billed to the nearest half hour.

What if our plans change?

Cancel with Mother Goose by phone or email at least 48 hours before the booking, rather than contacting the sitter. Later cancellations are billed at the 4-hour minimum, and the booking fee stays non-refundable.

Can our sitter drive the kids around the valley?

Yes, with a signed transportation waiver and advance planning. You provide age-appropriate car seats, or rent a toddler booster seat from us.
