Your children stay warm and busy in familiar surroundings while you ski, and you come back to a relaxed afternoon instead of a rushed pickup.
We have looked after visiting families in the Park City area for more than 15 years. Every sitter is interviewed, reference checked and drug tested, passes a BeenVerified background check, and is trained in CPR and first aid. Sitters arrive with toys and activities, so there is no need to pack a playroom in your suitcase.
Planning a Deer Valley ski day with kids
- Schedule the sitter to start a little before you head out, so the handoff happens calmly rather than at the door with boots half on.
- Each booking date carries a 4-hour minimum, which comfortably covers a morning of laps or a long lunch on the mountain.
- Holiday weeks are the busiest time of year here. Special holiday rates apply on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve after 4pm and New Year’s Day, and a $50 holiday fee applies on Martin Luther King Day and Presidents Day.
- If your sitter has to pay for parking at your lodge, our terms ask you to reimburse it.

Leave the crib at home
Flying in with little ones is easier without bulky baby equipment. We rent full-size cribs, pack ‘n plays, high chairs and strollers, deliver them to your lodging before you arrive, and collect them after you check out. Everything is sanitized and disinfected before delivery and again after pickup.

Deer Valley Babysitting FAQs
How much does a Deer Valley babysitter cost?
Standard hourly rates are $37 for one child, $40 for two, $43 for three and $46 for four, paid directly to your sitter by cash, Venmo or Zelle. Five or more children need an additional sitter. A non-refundable $25 per-day booking fee is charged in advance. Full details are on our Rates and Terms page.
Can we keep the same sitter all week?
We do our best to send the same sitter each day of your stay, though we can’t guarantee it. If you request a specific sitter and they are available, an automatic 20% gratuity is added.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel at least 48 hours ahead by phone or email to Mother Goose, not to the sitter. Cancellations inside 48 hours are charged the 4-hour minimum, and the booking fee is not refunded.
Can our sitter drive the kids somewhere?
Yes, once you sign a transportation waiver and arrange it in advance. Your children need age-appropriate car seats, and you can rent a toddler car booster seat from us if you didn’t bring one.
